From MNA member Kim Naujokas:
On Saturday, February 26, Mentelle Neighborhood residents are invited to get outside, don their best Mardi Gras attire (including a face mask) and catch some beads! A Mardi Gras celebration made up of a parade, sweet treats, music and fun for the whole family awaits you! Please join us from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Mentelle Park at Cramer Avenue.
JOIN THE PARADE
Decorate your car, get some beads and join the parade! If you would like to be part of the action by bringing your own vehicle for the parade, please contact Kim Naujokas at kimnaujokas@yahoo.com. Those who wish to leave their car at home can hop on one of our parade vehicles to take a lap around the neighborhood and throw some beads to their neighbors. We will have vehicles for adults (such as the Big Blue Pedaler!) as well as for kids so all can join the fun.
HAVE A MARDI GRAS TREAT
We will have complimentary coffee and hot chocolate courtesy of Kenwick Table as well as delicious king cake from Selma’s Catering/Liberty Road Cafe.
MORE FUN!
Adults and kids can capture the fun of Mardi Gras at the photo booth and complete your Mardi Gras “look” with some (temporary) tattoos!
Donations to the neighborhood association will be gratefully accepted! We look forward to seeing you!
